Getting started in 3 steps
From install to first confident review. Take it slowly — each step takes just a few minutes.
What you'll need
Your own computer with an administrator login, a hardware wallet device with its recovery phrase already written down on paper, and ten quiet minutes. Never start setup from a link someone sent you — open the official source from your own bookmark.
1Install and connect
Install the desktop app on your computer and run the welcome checks. Connect your hardware device when prompted and let the app verify it. Keep your recovery phrase offline the whole time — the app will never ask you to type it in. Photo suggestion: a tidy desk like the one above keeps setup calm.
- Download only from the official source, via your own bookmark.
- Set a strong app password or lock where offered.
2Add and name your accounts
Add one account for each asset you hold — for example one Bitcoin account and one Ethereum account. Give each a plain name you will recognize in six months. Display the first receiving address and confirm it matches on your hardware device screen.
Naming ideas that age well
“BTC Savings”, “ETH Experiments”, “Family Vault”. Avoid vague names like “Account 1”. Archive empty accounts instead of deleting them so history stays complete.
3Review and track
Receive a small test amount first. Find it in the activity list, open its details, and check the address, amount, and confirmations. Then open the portfolio view to see your first chart. If the test looks right, you're ready for normal use.
